Relevant Experience/Specialization
Scott joined Willis in February 2015 bringing with him vast and varied insurance and financial industry experience spanning over thirty years. He has over 20 years of direct Canadian insurance market experience.His previous work experience included domestic and international leadership assignments with AIG, Liberty and Munich Re in Toronto, New York, Los Angeles and Sydney, Australia. His global insurance broker and insurance carrier contacts are diverse.

Scott’s product and placement knowledge was further developed as he secured Lloyd’s Coverholder status and established two profitable specialty MGA’s in Canada, with the support of several leading Lloyd’s of London Syndicates who granted him significant quotation and binding authority.

Scott possesses a vast understanding of domestic and international insurance, reinsurance, banking and credit markets, with in-depth experience in sales, underwriting, marketing, capital markets risk transfer and risk syndication.

He has a proven track record of creating innovative risk solutions in North America, Asia-Pacific and Europe across a range of industries including but not limited to Financial Institutions, Mining, Energy, Aerospace, Transportation, Private Equity, Gaming, Hospitality and Real Estate.

When he is not working, Scott is supporting his children’s various sporting pursuits.

Role at Willis Towers Watson
In his role as the Canadian Practice Leader-FINEX North America and Mergers & Acquisitions, Scott’s core responsibilities include the review, negotiation and placement of Directors & Officers Liability, Cyber Liability, Fidelity, Employment Practices Liability, Kidnap & Ransom, and Fiduciary Liability Insurance for large and complex risks. He also works with clients to find risk transfer solutions for their Merger & Acquisitions, Representations & Warranties, Tax Indemnity, Weather and Capital Risk exposures.

Education and Credentials
Scott is a graduate of Concordia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He holds RIBO brokers license, as well as being, a Level 2 Alpine Canada Skiing Race Official.
