Marc Lefebvre

Marc has over twenty-five years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry. In July 2010, he joined Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) as Underwriting Coordinator, overseeing the activities of the Wordings Advisory Group and its various wording task forces and working groups. Through these groups, industry benchmark wordings are developed as a foundation for member companies to draft their own policies.

Marc started his career in the industry as an underwriter with the Chubb Insurance Company of Canada, and subsequently with other Canadian and International insurers. Marc career focus has been underwriting and portfolio management.

Marc is a member of the IBC CAMP team who deploy after natural disasters or other events, to meet with policyholders and local officials to address any insurance questions. The CAMP team spent time in Fort McMurray after the wildfires in May 2016 answering homeowners’ insurance concerns.

Marc holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia University in Montreal with majors in both Economics and Political Science.
