Will Stewart is a senior strategic communications executive with almost 20 years’ experience who has driven project teams on complex files in a broad array of sectors for a wide variety of clients. A regular speaker and strategist on public policy, Will is a Managing Principal of Navigator. He has provided strategic planning, research and communication advice to many of the leading firms, associations, and companies in Canada, as well as government, trade association and not-for-profit clients with interests where public policy, public opinion, and governments converge. Will has been named by the Hill Times as one of the Top 100 Lobbyists in the country for seven straight years.
In recent years, Will has built Navigator’s cannabis practice. As a recognized leader in the space, Will brings traditional public affairs and communications tactics to Canada’s existing medical marijuana market, and is actively working to shape federal policy on recreational use of cannabis. He has worked with a number of licensed producers as well as ancillary products and industries. He conceived and launched Canada’s only monthly public opinion poll focused exclusively on the cannabis sector, and is the driving force behind Legalized, Navigator’s weekly podcast on the emerging recreational market available on iTunes.
Will served as Chief of Staff in several portfolios to Ontario ministers responsible for energy, social services, and children, as well as the Government Whip and House Leader. Will is a respected media commentator on politics, public policy and social media and was awarded the Queens Diamond Jubilee Medal for his contributions to Canadian Public Policy.
